Disclaimer: Sports Genius is an independent platform and is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA, or any other professional sports league, team, or athlete association. All team names, player names, trademarks, and brand identifiers displayed on this site are used strictly for informational and identification purposes.
1Acceptance of Terms & Age Eligibility
By accessing or using Sports Genius (including sportsgenius.app, any associated subdomains, mobile interfaces, or application programming interfaces), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue access immediately.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of legal majority in your state, province, or territory of residence) to register an account, participate in prediction challenges, and claim physical or digital rewards.
2Pure Skill-Based Competition & No Gambling Guarantee
NO PURCHASE OR ENTRY FEE NECESSARY. Sports Genius is a 100% free-to-play competitive sports intelligence network. At no point do players pay an entry fee, buy tokens to enter competitions, wager currency, or fund prize pools.
Sports Genius is NOT a gambling, sports betting, bookmaking, or daily fantasy wagering service. Contests are governed entirely by genuine sports analytical skill, deterministic game mechanics, and competitive knowledge. Predictions lock automatically at scheduled kickoff or tipoff times via cryptographic timestamping.
Our proprietary competitive rating metrics (Genius Rating (Elo/Glicko) and Genius DNA) are strictly separated from engagement experience points (XP) to maintain meritocratic leaderboard integrity.
3Sponsor-Funded Rewards & Fulfillment
All prizes, gift certificates, tickets, and merchandise available on the platform are 100% funded and supplied by commercial brand sponsors and advertisers. Rewards are awarded to verified competition victors based on official leaderboard placements.
- Winner Verification: Potential winners are subject to age and territorial eligibility verification before reward dispatch. Failure to provide valid shipping details within thirty (30) days will result in reward forfeiture.
- Non-Transferability: Rewards are non-transferable, non-assignable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.
- Taxes: Winners are solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with prize receipt.
4Sponsor Marketplace & Commercial Terms
Brands and advertising agencies purchasing sponsorship properties through the Sponsor Marketplace are subject to commercial reservation and settlement terms processed securely through Stripe:
- Fixed-Price Inventory: Commercial property pricing is fixed per slot or seasonal flight, with automated race-condition reservation holds.
- Brand Safety & Creative Approval: All sponsor creatives, co-branded contest assets, and banners are subject to administrative editorial clearance prior to public launch.
- Category Exclusivity: Category exclusivity is protected during active flights pursuant to agreed sponsorship level definitions.
5Account Integrity & Anti-Abuse Rules
To preserve the integrity of our global leaderboards and meritocratic rankings, the following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification, rating erasure, and account termination:
Operating multiple accounts by a single individual to hedge prediction slates is prohibited.
Using automated scrapers, scripts, or algorithmic bots to submit picks at sub-second lock times is prohibited.
6Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any legal proceeding arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
